Interesting paper on Scent of Symmetry

R. Thornhill and S. W. Gangestad published an interesting paper titled "The Scent of Symmetry: A Human
Pheromone that Signals Fitness?" in 1998. Here are a couple interesting quotes from the paper:

"The scenario for the scent of symmetry we have described is consistent with the concept of a male sex pheromone related to symmetry."

"Humans are the second species in which data indicate that the scent of symmetric males is more attractive to females than the scent of asymmetric males"

You can download the full paper from CEACB website

The information presented here has been known for a while but is still interesting. Point is that attractive heterosexual males release pheromones that are attractive to females.

See the following paper on relationship between symmetry and attractiveness.
